Beading Hearts Of Loveland
Things are going well, my husband is coming back tonight from Orlando, FL so I had a little party last night for few of my girlfriends. Just girls, cheese cake, snacks and being silly and laughing at ourselves. As Shirley MacLaine once said “The person who knows how to laugh at himself will never cease to be amused.”
I went to the beading meeting with few of the girls from Loveland week ago. They call themselves “Beading Hearts Of Loveland” And they really are sweet hearts, all of them. They meet twice a month and they have their own yahoo group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BeadingHeartsofLoveland/
I know there must be more beaders out there in a beautiful land of Loveland CO, so girls come join us, the more the merrier!
The photo I am posting is a beautiful work of my dear friend Louisa from Israel. Enjoy!
Day One
I beaded around the ceramic bezel cab…
This is a must know technique for free form jewelry, it really adds a whole new dimension to your work. It’s very exciting knowing that you can take any object with one flat side and “capture it” this way in your beadwork. The possibilities are limitless! If you still don’t know how to do this I suggest you check out tutorials on the web or take a class. I personally learn better trough the classless but I found this free beaded bezel tutorial on the net so check it out:
Starting a new project/Organic Freeform Necklace
Hello!
finally I started working on my new beaded project… This time I will make Organic Freeform Necklace. I will be updating my blog with the progress of the necklace daily.
This necklace will have organic fill, I created ceramic beads/pendants especially for this project, they have kind of ocean organic look. They are glazed with Cream paprika glaze and aged with Bronze Opaque Gloss glaze… Special touches are added to some of the beads with European gold overgraze.
I hope you will have fun watching this project, please do ask questions if you want anything explained in more detail as we go.
Well, lets see where this project takes us!
